Whoo-hoo! I just got back from a Tupperware party hosted by our very own Cuban Jon. He's actually going to be a Tupperware lady (okay, Tupperware guy); I hope he becomes their top seller!

my new tupperware

I bought that set shown above. I love little containers, especially the smallest ones because they remind me of my childhood (my mom keeps her sewing and knitting stuff in them). I decided not to buy sippy cups yet, but I will someday; they hold a special place in my heart.

Mmm...soup!

Almost done with this semester! I took my only final today (Forensics) and finished my final paper in my Jewish History class a whole day early! Go me! So now I have to finish my research proposal and do some CyberSense work. Too bad I'm leaving on Wednesday. Eh...

I saw these great gloves in the registrar's office today. They were lavendar and were fingerless, and they had little mitteny parts, and--get this--a button to hold the mitteny part down when you needed to use your fingers. Damn...Since I'm taking the bus home to CO, I think I'll do some knitting on the way there. I was thinking of making some gloves for myself, so I hope I get around to it. The purple gloves inspired me. Good thing I'm honest, or I would've taken them! Well, that, and the registrar was watching me.

Speaking of knitting, this site is one of my favorite knitting sites.

Dammit! An ant just crawled across my desk. We've had an infestation in our bathroom for a week or so; I sure hope they don't decide to visit my room. Eh, I'll be gone soon enough. Stupid ants...they're fun to watch though. I just worry they'll hide in my toothbrush and I won't realize it until it's too late. Yuck.

It's too bad that just when all the work is done we all go home. It would be nice if Mudd would let us stay in the dorms over winter break. Oh well...I'm excited to see home too; it'll just get boring pretty fast, what with limited computer and TV and friends. College has me spoiled. Good thing Patrick's going to visit.

So I had my first bad dream about grad school last night. I dreamt that I had graduated, but I hadn't decided where to go to grad school, so I got stuck in a room at Mudd with four frosh girls. Finally I went to grad school (I don't know where), but I realized I'd left all my stuff at Mudd and I couldn't go back to get it. I hope I don't start having these dreams all the time. This happened before college too...

I'm going home (CO) in a few hours! I'm excited, but I'm going to miss Patrick. Good thing he's coming to visit at the beginning of January. I'm a little nervous because I'm taking the bus home, which I've never done before. It's way cheap, which is good, but I don't relish the thought of sitting next to strangers or using the same bathroom as lots of other people. But it only takes a little over a day to get to Colorado, so it'll be over soon enough. I'm spoiled...

I'll have access to a computer most of the time I'm at home, but I probably won't have much of interest to write about, so who knows how often I'll update.

It sucks that right after all the work and tests are over, I have to go home. I'd like to stick around Mudd and have fun for a change! Oh well...

So my bus trip was 2/3 nice, 1/3 painful. I got home to good old Fort Collins, CO, safely. I'm very happy I'll be taking the train back to CA instead of more bus.

I'm too busy being lazy to take pictures of home or anything; maybe I'll be up to it in a few days. I made myself a scarf on the bus, so maybe I'll post a picture of that at some point in the future. Now I'm working on a scarf for Patrick. He'll probably secretly hate it, but if it gets cold enough here, he'll have to wear it anyway. Hah!

Know what's exciting? Phineas is coming to Colorado, and I assume to Fort Collins, since that's where he went to high school. We're going to be in the same town! I swoon with anticipation (anticipation of what? I don't know...).

Almost time to go to my dad's house (also in Fort Collins) for an open house, and then to see all of my high school friends. See, every year, my friend Ethan has a Christmas party and all the old IB people show up. If it weren't for him, I'd never see any of my friends in CO. I'm excited to see Ethan because he gives the best hugs (see proof here).

There are other things I could say, but none of much interest. I'll try to take some pictures around here, since they're way better than words, in my opinion.

It's supposed to snow today, but there's no sign of it yet. I could go for a white Christmas, assuming I don't have to drive in it!
